# PetMeds vs ThreeWishes

The clearest difference is monetization model: ThreeWishes at free against PetMeds's free with in-app purchases. ThreeWishes also leads on update cadence (every 6 days vs fortnightly). PetMeds's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 1). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for PetMeds against 5.0 for ThreeWishes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PetMeds has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PetMeds ships an update fortnightly, ThreeWishes every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
