# Focus Timer vs Study Quest

The clearest difference is update cadence: Focus Timer at every 3 weeks against Study Quest's every 4 months. Study Quest's advantage is iOS requirement (17.0 vs 26.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Focus Timer sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Study Quest sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Focus Timer ships an update every 3 weeks, Study Quest every 4 months. Both last shipped on October 11, 2026.
