# Time Caps vs Time Capsule

The clearest difference is rating: Time Caps at 4.8 against Time Capsule's 4.3. Time Caps also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (153 vs 7). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Caps sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Time Capsule sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Time Caps holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Caps has 153 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Time Caps's written reviews are positive against 79% of Time Capsule's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
