# Pulse Connection vs Platinum

The clearest difference is rating: Pulse Connection at 4.5 against Platinum's 2.5. Platinum's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months) and ratings volume (27 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pulse Connection holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Platinum has 27 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
