# Snackpass vs Sydney Cafe

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Snackpass at 10K against Sydney Cafe's 11. Snackpass also leads on iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). Sydney Cafe's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Snackpass against 4.9 for Sydney Cafe. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snackpass has 10K ratings behind it against 11, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snackpass ships an update fortnightly, Sydney Cafe every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
