# Snackpass vs DC Cafe

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Snackpass at 10K against DC Cafe's 6. Snackpass also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). DC Cafe's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Snackpass against 4.8 for DC Cafe. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Snackpass has 10K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Snackpass ships an update fortnightly, DC Cafe monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
