# Super Scoreboard vs Scoreboard

The clearest difference is monetization model: Scoreboard at free with in-app purchases against Super Scoreboard's subscription. Scoreboard also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 3 months). Super Scoreboard's advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 5) and chart position (#169 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Super Scoreboard sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per year and Scoreboard sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scoreboard holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Super Scoreboard has 12K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Super Scoreboard ships an update every 3 months, Scoreboard every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
