# RBrowser vs Search Ace

The clearest difference is monetization model: Search Ace at free with in-app purchases against RBrowser's subscription. Search Ace also leads on ads (none vs shown). RBrowser's advantage is review sentiment (89% vs 60%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 3 weeks). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RBrowser sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days and Search Ace sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for RBrowser against 4.6 for Search Ace. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.3K and 605 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of RBrowser's written reviews are positive against 60% of Search Ace's.

RBrowser ships an update every 2 weeks, Search Ace every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
