# RBrowser vs 洋葱浏览器

The clearest difference is monetization model: 洋葱浏览器 at freemium against RBrowser's subscription. 洋葱浏览器 also leads on ads (none vs shown). RBrowser's advantage is ratings volume (1.3K vs 12). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RBrowser sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.49 per 7 days and 洋葱浏览器 sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for RBrowser against 4.8 for 洋葱浏览器. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: RBrowser has 1.3K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two.

RBrowser ships an update every 2 weeks, 洋葱浏览器 every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 15, 2026 respectively.
