# Split Notes vs トリノート

The clearest difference is rating: Split Notes at 4.9 against トリノート's 1.0. Split Notes also leads on ratings volume (11 vs 1). トリノート's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Split Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. トリノート asks for nothing beyond the download.

Split Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 1.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Split Notes has 11 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 83% of Split Notes's written reviews are positive against 90% of トリノート's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Split Notes ships an update every 4 months, トリノート every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 28, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
