# Grateful vs Beneath

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Beneath at 100% against Grateful's 48%. Beneath also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Grateful's advantage is ratings volume (3K vs 3). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Grateful sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Beneath sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beneath holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Grateful has 3K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Grateful's written reviews are positive against 100% of Beneath's.

Grateful ships an update every 2 months, Beneath every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 31, 2026 respectively.
