# Countdown vs Ahead

The clearest difference is rating: Ahead at 5.0 against Countdown's 4.4. Ahead also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1). Countdown's advantage is ratings volume (15 vs 1) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 18.1). On price, review sentiment, ads and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Countdown sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Ahead asks for nothing beyond the download.

Ahead holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Countdown has 15 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.
