# Notepad vs StudyMode

The clearest difference is ads: StudyMode at none against Notepad's shown. Notepad's advantage is update cadence (every 4 days vs monthly) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notepad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StudyMode sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notepad ships an update every 4 days, StudyMode monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
