# Spectrum vs SmarterNoise Pro

The clearest difference is rating: SmarterNoise Pro at 4.4 against Spectrum's 2.8. Spectrum's advantage is ratings volume (151 vs 31). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spectrum sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and SmarterNoise Pro sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SmarterNoise Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 2.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 151 and 31 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Spectrum's written reviews are positive against 29% of SmarterNoise Pro's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Spectrum ships an update every 3 weeks, SmarterNoise Pro monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 22, 2026 respectively.
