# PTE Success vs Lume Test

The clearest difference is ratings volume: PTE Success at 517 against Lume Test's 1. Lume Test's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PTE Success sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $11.49 per month and Lume Test sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lume Test holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PTE Success has 517 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of PTE Success's written reviews are positive against 100% of Lume Test's.

PTE Success ships an update monthly, Lume Test fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
