# Timegate Employee vs Test Hunter

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Timegate Employee at none against Test Hunter's 12. Timegate Employee also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Test Hunter's advantage is ratings volume (102 vs 1) and review sentiment (32% vs 8%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Test Hunter sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 7 days. Timegate Employee asks for nothing beyond the download.

Timegate Employee holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Test Hunter has 102 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 8% of Timegate Employee's written reviews are positive against 32% of Test Hunter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Timegate Employee ships an update every 11 days, Test Hunter weekly. Both last shipped on October 21, 2026.
