# Interval Timer vs Interval

The clearest difference is ads: Interval at none against Interval Timer's shown. Interval Timer's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Interval Timer sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Interval sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Interval Timer ships an update fortnightly, Interval every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
