# Scores vs Score Pad

The clearest difference is ads: Score Pad at none against Scores's shown. Score Pad also leads on review sentiment (93% vs 65%) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). Scores's advantage is ratings volume (120 vs 6) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scores sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Score Pad sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Scores against 4.5 for Score Pad. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Scores has 120 ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 65% of Scores's written reviews are positive against 93% of Score Pad's.

Scores ships an update every 6 weeks, Score Pad every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
