# Mirror vs Hyper

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hyper at free with in-app purchases against Mirror's subscription. Hyper also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). Mirror's advantage is review sentiment (56% vs 39%) and ratings volume (41K vs 11K). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mirror sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Hyper sells 25 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Mirror against 4.6 for Hyper. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 41K and 11K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 56% of Mirror's written reviews are positive against 39% of Hyper's.

Mirror ships an update monthly, Hyper every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
