# Performance Beef vs My Cattle Manager

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Performance Beef at none against My Cattle Manager's 2. Performance Beef also leads on rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (69 vs 5). My Cattle Manager's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Cattle Manager sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.90 per month. Performance Beef asks for nothing beyond the download.

Performance Beef holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Performance Beef has 69 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 60% of Performance Beef's written reviews are positive against 63% of My Cattle Manager's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Performance Beef ships an update monthly, My Cattle Manager every 9 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
