# Slowly vs stdout.chat

The clearest difference is ads: stdout.chat at none against Slowly's shown. stdout.chat also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Slowly's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Slowly sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month and stdout.chat sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

stdout.chat holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Slowly has 11K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
