# VanAlert vs DogPack

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: VanAlert at none against DogPack's 11. DogPack's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DogPack sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. VanAlert asks for nothing beyond the download.

DogPack holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6.
