# Security vs OnTheStep

The clearest difference is review sentiment: OnTheStep at 92% against Security's 12%. OnTheStep also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). Security's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (132 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

OnTheStep holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8.
