# DanceBUG vs MediaZilla

The clearest difference is monetization model: MediaZilla at free against DanceBUG's free with in-app purchases. MediaZilla also leads on rating (3.8 vs 3.5). DanceBUG's advantage is ratings volume (890 vs 20). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MediaZilla holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: DanceBUG has 890 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of DanceBUG's written reviews are positive against 33% of MediaZilla's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

DanceBUG ships an update monthly, MediaZilla every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
