# DanceBUG vs eCalendar

The clearest difference is rating: eCalendar at 4.7 against DanceBUG's 3.5. eCalendar also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 892) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). DanceBUG's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. eCalendar sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. DanceBUG asks for nothing beyond the download.

eCalendar holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: eCalendar has 20K ratings behind it against 892, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 38% of DanceBUG's written reviews are positive against 46% of eCalendar's.

DanceBUG ships an update monthly, eCalendar fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
