# June's Journey vs Runes

June's Journey and Runes both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 83% of Runes's written reviews are positive against 42% of June's Journey's. June's Journey's advantage is ratings volume (328K vs 578) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. June's Journey sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Runes sells 7 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for June's Journey against 4.5 for Runes. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: June's Journey has 328K ratings behind it against 578, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 42% of June's Journey's written reviews are positive against 83% of Runes's.

June's Journey ships an update every 2 weeks, Runes every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on November 7, 2026.
