# NotesPad vs Notes

The clearest difference is rating: Notes at 4.8 against NotesPad's 3.0. Notes also leads on ratings volume (14 vs 2). NotesPad's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Notes holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Notes has 14 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.
