# Loop Markets vs FoodMaxx

The clearest difference is rating: FoodMaxx at 4.7 against Loop Markets's 3.6. FoodMaxx also leads on ratings volume (5.7K vs 116) and update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 3 months). Loop Markets's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

FoodMaxx holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FoodMaxx has 5.7K ratings behind it against 116, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 31% and 31% positive.

Loop Markets ships an update every 3 months, FoodMaxx every 6 weeks. Both last shipped on October 29, 2026.
