# AY Sing vs .Hymnal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: AY Sing at none against .Hymnal's 4. AY Sing also leads on review sentiment (80% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.6). .Hymnal's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. .Hymnal sells 4 one-off in-app purchases. AY Sing asks for nothing beyond the download.

.Hymnal holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 26 and 76 respectively.
