# GAN vs Stitchout

The clearest difference is review sentiment: GAN at 44% against Stitchout's 0%. GAN also leads on update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 10 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Stitchout's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 2.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stitchout holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 4 and 4 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 44% of GAN's written reviews are positive against 0% of Stitchout's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GAN ships an update every 5 weeks, Stitchout every 10 months. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
