# ThemeWall vs iPattern

The clearest difference is rating: ThemeWall at 4.6 against iPattern's 4.0. ThemeWall also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 14 months) and ratings volume (23K vs 3). iPattern's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (100% vs 77%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThemeWall sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and iPattern sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ThemeWall holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThemeWall has 23K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of ThemeWall's written reviews are positive against 100% of iPattern's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ThemeWall ships an update every 9 days, iPattern every 14 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 4, 2026 respectively.
