# ThemeWall vs Wallpapers Now

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wallpapers Now at free with in-app purchases against ThemeWall's subscription. Wallpapers Now also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). ThemeWall's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly) and review sentiment (77% vs 64%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThemeWall sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Wallpapers Now sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.19 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wallpapers Now holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 23K and 4.8K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of ThemeWall's written reviews are positive against 64% of Wallpapers Now's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ThemeWall ships an update every 9 days, Wallpapers Now monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
