# ThemeWall vs Tapet

The clearest difference is review sentiment: ThemeWall at 77% against Tapet's 17%. ThemeWall also leads on rating (4.6 vs 1.8) and ratings volume (23K vs 5). Tapet's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and ads (none vs shown). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThemeWall sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Tapet sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

ThemeWall holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThemeWall has 23K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of ThemeWall's written reviews are positive against 17% of Tapet's.

ThemeWall ships an update every 9 days, Tapet every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
