# ThemeWall vs Wallpapers

The clearest difference is monetization model: Wallpapers at free with in-app purchases against ThemeWall's subscription. Wallpapers also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 77%) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.6). ThemeWall's advantage is ratings volume (23K vs 260) and update cadence (every 9 days vs monthly). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThemeWall sells 16 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and Wallpapers sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Wallpapers holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ThemeWall has 23K ratings behind it against 260, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 77% of ThemeWall's written reviews are positive against 100% of Wallpapers's.

ThemeWall ships an update every 9 days, Wallpapers monthly. Both last shipped on October 20, 2026.
