# Pathao vs Neptou

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Neptou at 50% against Pathao's 21%. Neptou also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Pathao's advantage is ratings volume (17K vs 5) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pathao holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pathao has 17K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 21% of Pathao's written reviews are positive against 50% of Neptou's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pathao ships an update fortnightly, Neptou every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
