# Number Sense Lite vs Proloquo

The clearest difference is rating: Proloquo at 4.0 against Number Sense Lite's 3.0. Proloquo also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (148 vs 1). Number Sense Lite's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Number Sense Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Proloquo sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Proloquo holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Proloquo has 148 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Number Sense Lite ships an update every 13 months, Proloquo every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
