# Cluesheet Companion vs Hexagon Grid Generator

The clearest difference is monetization model: Hexagon Grid Generator at free against Cluesheet Companion's free with in-app purchases. Cluesheet Companion's advantage is ratings volume (7.5K vs 2) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.1 for Cluesheet Companion against 4.0 for Hexagon Grid Generator. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cluesheet Companion has 7.5K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
