# Mantra vs Positive Affirmations

The clearest difference is ads: Positive Affirmations at none against Mantra's shown. Mantra's advantage is ratings volume (34K vs 134) and review sentiment (90% vs 69%). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Mantra sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Positive Affirmations sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.49 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for Mantra against 4.7 for Positive Affirmations. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mantra has 34K ratings behind it against 134, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 90% of Mantra's written reviews are positive against 69% of Positive Affirmations's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
