# Zulip vs COSGOTV

The clearest difference is rating: COSGOTV at 5.0 against Zulip's 3.7. COSGOTV also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). Zulip's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

COSGOTV holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Zulip has 16 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Zulip ships an update monthly, COSGOTV fortnightly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
