# Basma vs The Q

The clearest difference is rating: The Q at 4.3 against Basma's 3.7. Basma's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 83%). On price, ratings volume, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Basma sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and The Q sells 8 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

The Q holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 57 and 56 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of Basma's written reviews are positive against 83% of The Q's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Basma ships an update every 10 days, The Q every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
