# GOLFBUDDY vs Golf GPS++

The clearest difference is rating: Golf GPS++ at 4.6 against GOLFBUDDY's 2.5. Golf GPS++ also leads on ratings volume (4.7K vs 32). GOLFBUDDY's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 3). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Golf GPS++ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month. GOLFBUDDY asks for nothing beyond the download.

Golf GPS++ holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Golf GPS++ has 4.7K ratings behind it against 32, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 45% of GOLFBUDDY's written reviews are positive against 44% of Golf GPS++'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GOLFBUDDY ships an update every 3 weeks, Golf GPS++ every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
