# FunOnCam vs Record it

The clearest difference is rating: Record it at 5.0 against FunOnCam's 4.1. Record it also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 7 months). FunOnCam's advantage is ratings volume (7 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FunOnCam sells 7 one-off in-app purchases and Record it sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Record it holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FunOnCam has 7 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

FunOnCam ships an update every 7 months, Record it every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
