# Pics vs WeReel

The clearest difference is update cadence: WeReel at every 4 days against Pics's every 4 months. WeReel also leads on ratings volume (6.7K vs 3). Pics's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and review sentiment (100% vs 86%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 5.0 for Pics against 4.9 for WeReel. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WeReel has 6.7K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 100% of Pics's written reviews are positive against 86% of WeReel's.

Pics ships an update every 4 months, WeReel every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
