# Manix vs Submarine

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Manix at none against Submarine's 10. Manix also leads on ads (none vs shown). Submarine's advantage is update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 34 months) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 12.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Submarine sells 10 one-off in-app purchases. Manix asks for nothing beyond the download.

Manix ships an update every 34 months, Submarine every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
