# PTCB vs PTCE Practice Test

The clearest difference is update cadence: PTCB at fortnightly against PTCE Practice Test's every 2 months. PTCB also leads on iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PTCB sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and PTCE Practice Test sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PTCB ships an update fortnightly, PTCE Practice Test every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
