# Ultimate Comic Reader vs Outplayer

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Outplayer at 86% against Ultimate Comic Reader's 20%. Outplayer also leads on rating (4.6 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (502 vs 2). Ultimate Comic Reader's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Comic Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Outplayer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Outplayer holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Outplayer has 502 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Ultimate Comic Reader's written reviews are positive against 86% of Outplayer's.
