# Ultimate Comic Reader vs Tachimanga

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Tachimanga at 76% against Ultimate Comic Reader's 20%. Tachimanga also leads on rating (4.8 vs 3.0) and ratings volume (5.4K vs 2). Ultimate Comic Reader's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ultimate Comic Reader sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tachimanga sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tachimanga holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tachimanga has 5.4K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 20% of Ultimate Comic Reader's written reviews are positive against 76% of Tachimanga's.
