# Tap Forward vs Fidget Spin

The clearest difference is rating: Fidget Spin at 4.1 against Tap Forward's 3.7. Fidget Spin also leads on update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks) and ratings volume (172 vs 42). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tap Forward sells 11 one-off in-app purchases and Fidget Spin sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Fidget Spin holds the better App Store score, 4.1 against 3.7. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 42 and 172 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 39% of Tap Forward's written reviews are positive against 36% of Fidget Spin's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tap Forward ships an update every 3 weeks, Fidget Spin weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
