# Kanopy vs SpaceController

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Kanopy at 152K against SpaceController's 2. Kanopy also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and chart position (#151 vs unranked). SpaceController's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Kanopy holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Kanopy has 152K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Kanopy ships an update every 2 weeks, SpaceController every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
