# MeteorActive vs ASGuide

The clearest difference is ratings volume: MeteorActive at 2.3K against ASGuide's 9. MeteorActive also leads on update cadence (every 6 weeks vs every 4 months) and iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.0). ASGuide's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for MeteorActive against 4.8 for ASGuide. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MeteorActive has 2.3K ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 89% of MeteorActive's written reviews are positive against 100% of ASGuide's.

MeteorActive ships an update every 6 weeks, ASGuide every 4 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
